Beach Days & Riveria Nights Events

Sun all day, vibes all night. A month of free events at Orchard Beach: games and family fun in the sun, a silent disco at sunset and a drive-in movie.Every event is free and open to everyone, so come as you are and stay as long as you like. A series of events sponsored by the Friends of Pelham Bay Park, the Pelham Bay Park Administrator’s Office, Bronx Recreation, and Parking Solutions Inc.

Fun in the Sun

Saturday, August 8 | 12 – 3 pm | Flat area near Section 4

Remember beach days before phones? Bronx Recreation brings back the classics: music, no-tech games and good old-fashioned fun for the whole family. Face painting and arts and crafts included. Free. All ages.

Silent Disco

Saturday, August 15 | 6 – 9 pm | Rink area at Section 4

Dance the evening away at the beach. Grab a pair of glowing headphones, pick from three music channels including a live DJ and choose your own party. Sea breeze, sunset and your song on repeat.

Good to know:

• Headphone rental is free, first come first serve. Bring a photo ID to leave as collateral.
• You can bring your own headphones, but only ours tune into the DJs.
• Free parking after 7 pm. Bus to the 6 train available after the disco.

Drive-In Movie Night

Friday, August 21 | Starts 7 pm | Orchard Beach Parking Lot

The drive-in comes back to the Bronx. Pull up for a free movie on a very big screen.

Good to know:

• Arrive before 8:15 pm. No entry after 8:15 pm.
• No car? No problem. Buses run after the movie to the 6 train at Pelham Bay Park Station.
